I am a total blogger virgin, so please be gentle with me.
Why Nobbys Nuggets? quite simple really, in some circles certain names give the owner a nickname, i.e. Smith = Smudge (from the smudge mark of coal on a blacksmiths face) or Smithy, Murphy = Spud after the name of a famous potato, White = Chalky after a white stick of chalk, etc, etc. With Clark you get the nick name "Nobby". This is from medieval times when the writers in the village i.e. Clerics or Clerks, not just in the Clergy, would be the only people that could transcribe what the Nobility needed placing down for record, or messages that had to be written for dispatch, therefore the Clerk (later Clark) worked for the Lord, Nobility (Nobs), from there it is not a big jump to the name Nobby.
I am looking forward to the next few weeks, I have quite a few photo shoots coming up, (its that time of year, no weddings just Christmas Parties).
Not an ideal time for a photographer, but there is always something out there that needs capturing into an image that might be wanted by someone.
If there are any wise people out there that know of up and coming photo opportunities in Carlisle (UK), a nudge in my direction is always appreciated.
